The Conemaugh Health
System (CHS) is the largest healthcare provider in
West Central Pennsylvania, with a culture based on
innovation, customer service and quality. CHS is
comprised of nearly 5,000 employees and more than
1,000 licensed beds. Members include the flagship
tertiary hospital Memorial Medical Center in
Johnstown; Windber, Meyersdale and Miners Medical
Centers; Crichton Rehabilitation Center; Conemaugh
School of Nursing and Schools of Allied Health;
Conemaugh Health Initiatives; Penn Highlands Health
Plan; and the Conemaugh Health Foundation.
CHS offers a continuum of care and highly
specialized services, including a Level 1 Regional
Resource Trauma Center, a Level III neonatal
intensive care unit, outstanding community wellness
and clinical care, as well as seven physician
residencies and strong research affiliations with
government and academic partners. CHS has also
provided leadership in regional economic and
community development, including the launch of the
InforMedx Group, the Greater Johnstown Technology
Park and a revitalization project in the 8th Ward
section of Johnstown.
